DNA replication evolves a duplication of itself. During this process, the two new DNA molecules, although identical, are differently processed, creating similar structures that during their genesis diverge in their molecular constitution and structure.
Based on this concept of non-exact duplication, I tried to create processes of “replication” of a certain musical material, differently changing several parameters according to multiple layers.
The piece was created within a triple structure, with a short introduction. Like in the different phases of this biological process, the three main parts have large structural differences and resemblances, keeping some elements unaltered, and exploring others by the application of several types of mutations.
In this way, the whole process becomes almost the transformation of a musical material created and replicated by the author.
